Using nature based approaches, we work to inspire and meet people\u2019s essential needs; to save water and lakes, protect and restore nature; and to stabilize the climate and enhance livelihoods through increasing self-reliance and resilient communities.<\/p>\n

\nTo protect, conserve, restore and ensure the sustainable use of lakes, including aspects such as water quality, erosion, sedimentation and aquatic biodiversity, through integrated management at all levels, as set out in targets 6.5 and 6.6 of the Sustainable Development Goals, addressing the water body and the entire lake basin, supported by relevant regulation, institutional development, budget allocations, well-managed monitoring and data, integrated research, sustainable technology and international cooperation<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
\nTo mainstream Climate Change adaptation and mitigation strategies in the implementation of Water Action agenda and other development activities to improve the living standards of local communities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
\nTo champion the \u201cSave Water, Save Lakes\u201d campaign. This sustainable freshwater management approach also has implications for achieving many Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the 2030 Water Action Agenda, an example being SDG 6.6, which calls for the protection and restoration of water-related ecosystems. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
\nTo promote Integrated Solid Waste Management, advance SWM service delivery, pollution prevention, environmental quality and safeguard community health through WASH interventions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
\nTo entrench the conservation ethic among local communities and promote sustained conservation efforts by building capacity and linking conservation with the achievement of development aspirations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
\nTo work with local communities to identify, prioritise, co-create and implement sustainable approaches for resource management including; providing technical and material support in establishing tree nurseries, tree planting, soil conservation, as well as energy conservation technologies. . <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
\nTo develop, accelerate and upscale sustainable livelihood initiatives for poverty reduction through income generating activities and diversification of farm enterprises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
\nTo promote participatory and responsive urban governance, exploit the combined power and influence of CSOs, County and National Government to achieve policy change and awareness on the importance of living in just, dignified , smarter and socially inclusive cities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
